Ukrainian EMS IKT Group Launches New Factory in Bulgaria

EMSNOW has previously written about how contract electronics manufacturer IKT Group is overcoming wartime difficulties caused by the Russia’s full-scale armed invasion to Ukraine. Despite the significant successes of our country and the entire civilized world in the fight against Russian aggression, the war is not over yet, we are still only on the way to achieving complete victory. In these difficult times, the best Ukrainian enterprises not only survive, but also find and realize opportunities for growth.
This year, as part of the implementation of a long-term development strategy and scaling of the IKT business, in collaboration with our long-time partner and sales representative in Israel Valigent Ltd, we created one more business location – “IKT Electronics” Ltd in Bulgaria. This is the factory for the assembly of electronic products, designed according to the Ukrainian analogue, located on an infrastructure prepared for the production of electronics and equipped with the machines from the world’s leading manufacturers (JUKI, PBT Works, Olamef etc.).
In addition to expanding production, we also pursued the goals, on one hand, to be closer to our customers from the European Union and Israel, and on the other, to reduce the likelihood and influence of risks associated with the Putin dictatorship aggression towards Ukraine. From the very beginning, we considered several countries in Eastern Europe to determine the future location of the new factory. Based on the results of the risks and opportunities comparative analysis, we chose Bulgaria as this country combines a favorable investment climate, good rates of the electronics sector development, growing economy, etc.
IKT Bulgaria has been integrated into the IKT supply chain. Preparations are currently underway for the quality management system certification by an international certification body. The first pool of orders has already been filled, but we are constantly open to new offers of cooperation.
