TTI is Offering Rohm’s Product Line of Red and Infrared Lasers

Fort Worth, Texas – TTI, Inc., a leading specialty distributor of electronic components, is now offering Red and Infrared LASERs from Rohm Semiconductor. An expanded product offering targeted at industrial applications such as range finders, leveling, gesture control, and barcode scanners.

These semiconductor LASERs are Opto devices, often referred to as LASER diodes or LDs. ROHM is one of the industry’s largest producer of LASER diodes. The RLD63 & RLD65 family of products include monochrome, coherent, and pulse characteristics of LASER light. This allows them to be used in optical discs (optical pickups: OPU), laser printers, range finders, leveling, gesture control, and barcode scanners. More recently, LASER diodes have been increasingly used as light sources for ToF (Time of Flight), and LiDAR, with the development of laser diodes, for sensing applications, expected to significantly increase. ROHM offers a broad lineup of LASER diodes optimized for various use cases.

As Rohm’s technology continues to evolve so do the variety of new LASER applications. Rohm’s increasing development of sensor components will facilitate the ease of design and implementation of this technology. Major drivers include IOT, Autonomous vehicles and Industrial 4.0.
