Assel, a Polish EMS provider, has completed the modernization of its Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line. This investment is a key component of the company’s long-term growth strategy, aimed at enhancing both production efficiency and service quality.
As part of this upgrade, the company’s existing pick-and-place machines have been replaced by three state-of-the-art units from ASM—the flagship SIPLACE SX models from ASMPT SMT Solutions.
Key benefits of the modernization:
- Increased throughput: An estimated production speed increase of 20%–30% (depending on the specifics of the assembled product).
- Enhanced precision: The new machines offer superior placement accuracy, which is crucial when handling modern, miniature components.
- Greater flexibility: Assel now benefits from faster line changeovers, enabling more efficient execution of complex projects.
“This is another step toward optimizing our processes and ensuring the highest service standards for our business partners. The investment will boost production efficiency. The new machines offer even greater accuracy and precision, allowing us to manage production more flexibly and effectively,” says a member of the Assel Board of Directors.
The modernization of the SMT line sends a clear signal to the market, confirming the company’s readiness to undertake the most demanding technological projects. The increased capacity will enable the company to respond more effectively to the dynamic needs of clients in sectors that require the highest level of reliability in electronic components.
