Incap Germany’s Karlsfeld factory achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification covering information security management

Incap Electronics Germany’s factory in Karlsfeld has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, confirming that its information security management system meets the international standard for protecting sensitive data across their operations. The certification is an important step in strengthening information security practices throughout Incap and supporting the Group’s growth in defence, aerospace, and other industries handling sensitive information. Incap plans to achieve ISO/IEC 27001 certification across all its units.

According to Dr. Ralf Hasler, regional President Europe at Incap, the achievement reflects increasing market expectations related to data security, privacy, and protection of intellectual property. It allows Incap to provide all customers with the assurance that sensitive design, engineering and production data is protected throughout the value chain and handled in a controlled and traceable way from development to delivery.

“Requirements related to data security and protection of intellectual property are becoming increasingly important for our customers, particularly in the defence, aerospace, and medical technology sectors,” says Hasler. “This certification confirms that we have structured processes in place to manage sensitive data in a consistent and controlled way as part of our daily operations and strengthens our ability to support customers operating in highly regulated environments.”

The certified scope covers the development of hardware and software, industrialisation, manufacturing and distribution of electronic and electromechanical components, assemblies and devices for medical technology and other high-end applications. It includes cable assembly, printed circuit board assembly and coating, control cabinet manufacturing, and box build services.

The certification has strengthened operational processes at Incap’s factory in Karlsfeld, Germany, by further developing the procedures for managing information security. These include formal incident reporting, enhanced access control to facilities and systems, process for handling confidential documentation, and increased employee awareness through security training.
