German EMS RAWE Electronic GmbH Acquires Mair Elektronik GmbH

The German EMS company RAWE Electronic GmbH, Weiler/Germany, part of Demmel Group, will take over 100% of the shares in Mair Elektronik GmbH in Schwaig near Munich with retroactive effect from 01.01.2021.

Mair Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1986 by Mr. Roland Mair and today employs around 100 people at its 2 company locations in Schwaig and Eisleben.

Mair is a successful electronics service company that has gained a good position in the EMS market over the years. With the focus on small batch sizes with high technological demands, Mair Elektronik is a perfect complement to RAWE.

In addition to advantages in the production area, RAWE expects valuable synergy effects that can be used primarily in the areas of purchasing and sales.

While Mair mainly serves customers in the laser technology, sensor technology, medical technology and industrial electronics sectors, RAWE customers mainly come from the automotive, commercial vehicles, professional kitchen technology, sanitary and measurement technology sectors.

Mr. Roland Mair, together with the 2nd managing director, Mr. Martin Schwaiger, will continue to work as managing director for the company.

RAWE Electronic is a leading electronics service company with approx. 300 employees in Weiler-Simmerberg and has established a leading market position in the EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) sector.

With its subsidiaries Tefag Elektronik AG (Mels-CH) and Mair Elektronik GmbH (Schwaig), RAWE belongs to the Demmel Group and, in this merger of successful medium-sized companies, covers the field of electronics production and electronics development.

The takeover of Mair Elektronik GmbH offers RAWE Electronic new growth opportunities on the expansion course that has been taken for years. With the latest acquisition, sales expectations are in the order of € 80 million annually.
