ECIA’s Debbie Conyers Honored by Women in Electronics

Debbie was selected as this year’s WE Recognizes Award winner

ATLANTA – The “WE Recognizes” Award was created to acknowledge and celebrate women who have demonstrated outstanding achievement within the WE goals to Empower, Advocate, Develop, and Celebrate women in the electronics industry. Prior recipients were Heather Fulara from Newark/Avnet (2019) and Holly Good from Cornell Dubilier (2020).

“Debbie Conyers was selected as this year’s WE Recognizes recipient for her unwavering dedication to our industry,” explained Jackie Mattox, President and CEO, WE. “For 21 years, Debbie has been the heart of the ECIA and its predecessor, NEDA. A trusted and well-respected individual across the channel, Debbie is recognized for her many contributions both within ECIA and beyond, serving as an advocate of authorized distribution and championing causes including FIRST®, Hiring Our Heroes, and Women in Electronics. Debbie epitomizes the WE organizational values of honor, authenticity, courage and commitment, so on behalf of the Executive Committee, it is with great pleasure to announce her as the WE Recognizes Award Recipient for 2021!”

“We are very proud to acknowledge Debbie’s immense contribution to the industry, reflected by this WE Recognizes award as she retires from her current position with ECIA,” added Victor Meijers, ECIA Senior Vice President. “Her diligence and hard work involving and supporting volunteers for various events like the Executive Conference and many ECIA and ECIA Foundation activities, have been the driving force in our member engagement efforts over the years. We wish her the best in all she does going forward and we congratulate her on this well-deserved industry recognition.”
