ECIA Appoints Karim Yasmine as Chair of Distributor Council
Karim will lead member forum that reports to board of directors
Atlanta— ECIA is pleased to announce that Karim Yasmine, Corporate Vice President, Future Electronics, will assume the role of Chair of the Distributor Council. This group is one of three ECIA constituent councils that along with the Manufacturer and Manufacturers’ Representative Councils provides oversight responsibility for that group’s specific priorities and agenda items.
Karim Yasmine is an accomplished executive with over 24 years of experience driving the overall business growth of a world leader in electronic components distribution, Future Electronics. Throughout his tenure there he has managed a number of major technology business units. Karim’s current responsibilities include Global Supplier Management and Expansion, leading the MCU/MPU/FPGA business unit, directing Future’s Rep Council and other key Demand Creation roles within the Future Electronics corporation.
Karim will take the baton from Mike Morton, CEO of TTI, Inc. “I look forward to leading this esteemed group of my colleagues in the Distributor Council during this very dynamic period for the components industry,” Karim commented. “It’s a very exciting time to be setting strategy and improving efficiencies in the electronics supply chain.
