EMSNOW: Why is SMarTsol investing and opening operations in the US Market?

PHOTOUS companies are on pandemic recovery combined with the component’s shortage crisis, so our customers are looking to redesign manufacturing process to improve results in short time and accomplish the new market demands. SMarTsol has been highly successful in response time for quick delivery for new equipment & technical support, becoming one of the top capital equipment distributors for Mexico and now for US and Costa Rica.

EMSNOW: What is the SMarTsol’s strategy to meet customer needs?

Just 10 years ago, SMarTsol made the decision to change the capital equipment business in Mexico. That was when the company began to bring stock equipment to the warehouse for same week delivery into the country.  Due to the pandemic situation and now the logistic price increase and delays we began to increase the stock for critical equipment, so Smartsol doubled our storage and demos areas, keeping enough stock for up to four assembly lines. This stock includes screen printers, conveyors, laser marking, depaneling machines, soldering robots, dispensing robots, fluxing machines, AOI’s, R-Ray’s, AXI’s, collaborative robots, inspection instruments, and much more.

EMSNOW: How can SMarTsol support critical delivery times for US customers?

Before 2021 all stock equipment was stored in Guadalajara; due to the requirements from US customers, the company has opened additional distribution points in Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez and El Paso Texas, adding 15,000 sq ft within these three locations, plus 17,500 sq ft expansion in Guadalajara. SMarTsol America at el Paso Texas is able to host customers for training and equipment demonstrations with the most advanced technology and the best of our portfolio.

EMSNOW: What are SMarTsol goals for 2022?

Definitely we plan to hold onto leadership in the Mexican market and increase the presence with US customers. We have also begun a manufacturing agreement to have our OEM products under SMarTsol brand, including soldering robots, conveyors and others. These SMarTsol brand products takes our 10 years of experience with improvements and unique options for the US market; these products have recently been demonstrated in the exhibition of SMTA International in Minneapolis and will be in the company booth in APEX in San Diego 2022 and other four exhibitions in US for 2022.

EMSNOW: How did your company do in 2021 at a few weeks before year closing?

2021 was an unexpected year for SMarTsol;  2020 was good enough considering the Covid-19 situation, 2020 represent 15% growth and 2021 looks to be 70% higher than 2020, therefore 2021 is near to be one of the best years for the company.

EMSNOW: How will the El Paso distribution center and SMarTsol OEM products strength commercial relationships with US customers?

Our commitment to the US market is to provide high quality solutions with high skills technical support, local equipment for evaluations and training, also a wide range of spare parts availability. Our technical proposals will be always linked to process analysis and bring the fastest response to requirements.
