German electronics specialist Katek goes public

Frankfurt. Electronics specialist Katek SE is aiming for the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The jump on the parquet is expected to take place in the second quarter of this year. The company announced this on Wednesday morning.

The Katek Group claims to be one of the fastest growing electronics companies in Europe. It offers software and hardware, from the development and construction of prototypes to manufacturing.

“We are concentrating on high-end electronic products, which are characterized by high complexity and comparatively low quantities,” CEO Rainer Koppitz told Handelsblatt. “We do not manufacture mass goods for consumer electronics.”

The Katek Group, with its 2600 employees, generated sales of 414 million euros in 2020 – an increase of 59 percent compared to the previous year. In terms of market share, it is currently number two in Germany,the company said on Wednesday.
