US-based electronics manufacturing solutions provider Universal Instruments Corporation announced today the completion of the company’s acquisition by Delta Electronics, Inc., a global leading provider of smart energy-saving solutions for e-mobility, ICT and energy infrastructure, as well as for smart buildings and factories. With more than 50 years developing its core competence in high-efficiency power electronics and with sales, R&D and manufacturing capabilities spread over 5 continents, Delta’s Industrial Automation Business Group offers a broad spectrum of industrial automation products and solutions that serve a myriad of industries, including electronics manufacturing. Universal boasts a 100-year history and specializes in providing precision automation solutions for advanced high-accuracy, multi-process applications for semiconductor and electronics assembly.

The cooperation is expected to generate substantial benefits by leveraging both companies’ R&D and global customer base to offer comprehensive, progressive smart manufacturing capabilities for the electronics industry. Universal will continue to operate under its existing management team as a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta.
