Nordson SELECT to Exhibit Advanced Selective Soldering Technology at the 2019 SMTA Guadalajara Expo
On display will be the Cerno® 103IL selective soldering system featuring Industry 4.0 data push protocol and automatic solder nozzle re-tinning
Liberty Lake, WA, USA – Nordson SELECT, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN), is pleased to announce it will exhibit its advanced selective soldering technology in conjunction with SMarTsol Technologies in Booth 309 at the SMTA Guadalajara Expo & Tech Forum, scheduled to take place October 23-24, 2019 at the Expo Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico.
On exhibit will be the Cerno® 103IL a fully-configured SMEMA compatible selective soldering system equipped with standard features including an automated fiducial location and correction system that provides single click fiducial teach capability, seamless fiducial recognition and true automated alignment and skew correction of a printed circuit board. Additional standard features of the Cerno® 103IL include high-speed Z-axis motion, dual process viewing cameras and interchangeable solder pots and pumps compatible with tin-lead, lead-free or high melting point solder alloys.
The Cerno® 103IL is equipped with advanced SWAK-OS 4.0 software that is compatible with Industry 4.0 data push protocols in use by numerous end-user companies. The Cerno® 103IL also features Nordson SELECT’s unique automatic solder nozzle tinning system. Unlike other nozzle cleaning systems, this patent pending system does not spray an adipic acid, or a liquid or powdered flux. This exceptional solder nozzle tinning system keeps the solder nozzles prestigiously clean by automatically removing oxidation residues and re-tinning the surface of the solder nozzles without any resulting overspray or contamination of the printed circuit board or the selective soldering machine.
Also on display will be an In-Line Flux and Preheat Module can be combined with the Cerno® 103IL to provide concurrent fluxing and preheating which significantly increases production throughput and reduces processing time. The In-Line Flux and Preheat Module is available with atomizing spray flux applicator or precision drop-jet flux dispensers for processing a wide range of various flux chemistries, and topside infrared preheating during fluxing or topside and bottom-side infrared preheat after fluxing with a controlled ramp rate for uniform heating of printed circuit board assemblies and other solderable substrates.
