Foxconn has launched Taiwan’s first trapped ion quantum computing lab
As one of the key pivots in implementing its 3+3 transformation strategy, Foxconn (Hon Hai) Technology Group’s Hon Hai Research Institute held a trapped ion quantum computing laboratory opening ceremony on October 15th, establishing Taiwan’s first industrial quantum computer development center.
Foxconn stated that this laboratory will contribute high-efficiency computing capabilities required for next-generation AI and automotive-related technologies, laying the foundation for Foxconn’s quantum technology deployment.
