EMSNOW On Tour: India Podcast 3 – Syrma SGS

EMSNOW reports from a hotel in Vadodara where Eric traveled to from New Delhi after a visit to Syrma SGS. This information-packed podcast includes details about that visit and continuing observations about the EMS industry in India.

Syrma SGS is a public company with 2024 revenue of around US$450 million. This EMS is focused on engineering, with a tagline of ‘Design in India, Make in India.’ The  ‘flexible volume’, medium mix/medium volume EMS has been in operation for over 40 years with customers in automotive, telecom, industrial, IT, healthcare, railway, and defense.

Eric also discusses the current growth forecasts for the EMS industry that are being put forth: from a baseline of $US 100 billion currently to potentially $US 400 or even 500 billion by 2030. The enthusiasm and energy is palpable, he notes, and with the engineering talent, the solid and strategic support from the government, and the plans to build out the PCB and component ecosystem, these are not an unrealistic expectations.
