Dorigo Celebrates 30 Years of Electronics Manufacturing Services Excellence

Building of New World-class Manufacturing Facility Announced to Meet Growing Demand 

Burnaby, BC, Canada  – Dorigo Systems celebrated its 30th anniversary on June 1, 2018. During a luncheon attended by Dorigo staff, plans were unveiled for the building of a new state-of-the art manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters to meet the growing demand for Dorigo’s Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).

Recognized as one of the premier providers of EMS services in the Pacific Northwest and throughout Canada, Dorigo Systems’ has grown significantly from when it was established by Mark Pillon, P.Eng. in 1988, to over 100 employees currently working in 45,000 sq. feet of manufacturing space. The next chapter in Dorigo’s expansion, is the planned move to a custom-built corporate campus with over 105,000 sq. feet of manufacturing space located in Burnaby’s prestigious Glenlyon Business Park in the Fall of 2019.

The new building which has been designed by renowned architect, Christopher Bozyk, and is being built by the highly-respected Beedie Development Group, will offer Dorigo Systems the ability to support several automated surface mount assembly production lines along with current precision electronics manufacturing services all on one level. The new layout of space is designed to optimize speed of production while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Pillon’s commitment to his team of skilled employees is shown in the exemplary working conditions he is planning to provide to staff. A gym and yoga room along with a large restaurant-style cafeteria and outdoor patio are some of the amenities to reward staff for their dedication and commitment to Dorigo’s ongoing success.

A model of the new building was unveiled by Mark Pillon, P.Eng. and his General Manger, Vantha Pha along with Ken Pauls, Business Account Manager and Paul Vasvary, Business Development Manager. Staff wore 30th anniversary t-shirts in recognition of the event.
