Apex Factory Automation and Interlatin Join Forces

Lanham, MD, and Guadalajara, Mexico – Apex Factory Automation, SMT equipment and services provider to the North American market, and Interlatin, SMT equipment and services provider to Mexico and Latin America have joined forces and are announcing a new jointventure – ILA Solutions (ILA). The new business will formally start on January 1, 2019.

ILA Solutions will combine the resources of the two companies to sell and service top tier SMT production equipment throughout all North America. These premier lines include SJ Innotech SMT printers, Mirae MAI odd form/thruhole inserters and SMT placement machines, Xavis 2D and 3D CT x-ray systems, as well the innovative Cobra Stencil Technology.

The two companies’ synergy was summarized by Bob Drake, US Sales Manager “Apex FA was looking to expand sales and service into Mexico, and InterLatin was looking to expand into the US market, so we were a perfect fit to partner together.” ILA Solutions will continue to sell through its current mix of direct salesmen and sales rep organizations, strategically optimized to fit sales support requirements in the regions served.
ILA Solutions has 20 service and applications engineers, as well as 8 direct sales staff and 36 sales representatives to serve the North American Electronics market. ILA will maintain regional offices and demo centers in both Lanham, MD, and Guadalajara, Mexico. Both locations will also warehouse spare parts, enabling customers, whether in the US, Canada, or Mexico to visit to see equipment as well as source spare parts quickly as needed.
