EMSNOW reconnects with Gaurab Majumdar, VP of Global Electronics Association (GEA)’s India, SE Asia, Middle East and Africa region. Eric notes how helpful Gaurab and his team were during his visit to India last fall.
Gaurab describes the work in India, but explains they have also opened a new office in Malaysia and are quite active in Vietnam and Thailand as well.
Recently they hosted a very popular wire harness competition in India, which is scheduled to expand to other countries. They began a new initiative for automotive standards originating in India, and the discussion covers a dizzying number of other industry engagements in this very active region.
Alongside GEA’s traditional programs in certification and training, Gaurab describes a new ‘gap analysis’ service where they are able to offer companies a customized report on where their processes fall short of industry best practices. GEA aims to be a ‘solutions provider’ in the region, he says. The excitement is contagious and EMSNOW looks forward to returning to the region soon.
