In this frank conversation, Timon Ruban, Co-Founder & Managing Director, shares his own experience with AI Agents within Luminovo, and his predictions for which software solutions will survive the AI revolution. The industry is quickly becoming dependent on the incredible efficiencies of these powerful tools, and he believes that two areas especially will be key for the industry: AI agents that can can be connected to your data and supplier base, so you can interact with it and ask it to, for example analyze a BOM and flag the problem areas. The second thing is an agent that can do actions in the real world, e.g. negotiating, or on-board a new supplier. These are things that will be valuable, he says.
The conversation then turns to some potential disappointments from AI, which center around the costs. Sometimes the simpler ways make more sense financially for the organization and the planet. So some discernment will be required in the future. This is a timely discussion, well worth a listen.
