SMTA will host the Next Gen 10 Program to recognize young leaders who have demonstrated outstanding success in their careers and contributions to the electronics manufacturing industry. This isn’t just a program – it’s a career accelerator! Know someone who stands out? You can help us choose our next class of 10 emerging leaders to build confidence, connections, and skills. Winners are recognized during a ceremony on October 22, 2025 at SMTA International in Rosemont, IL, USA.
Each award recipient receives:
- Lapel pin and name badge ribbon
- Personalized award plaque
- Certificate of achievement
- 1 free drink ticket to NextGen Happy Hour (Wednesday evening)

The criteria for nomination are as follows:
- Must be an active member of the SMTA
- Age 40 or under as of June 2025
- Demonstrated excellence and leadership in the technical field.
This would include noteworthy contributions to their profession or industry as well as significant impact on their organization, community, or beyond. - Must attend SMTA International in-person
- Winners of last year’s 40 Under 40 program are not eligible
