Mark Zetter, Venture Outsource Group
Mark Zetter is founder and president of Venture Outsource Group, a growing consulting firm providing confidential advisory services worldwide to technology decision-makers and suppliers in the supply chain. Mr. Zetter is a widely-quoted authority in business and trade media on best-practices and supply chain methods, a published author on outsourcing, and a frequent contributor to various off-the-shelf and customized industry reports. Mr. Zetter speaks regularly at national and international events and serves on a number of advisory boards in industry as well as The World Business Review a leading television source providing factual programming about the latest topics, trends, and solutions to industry problems, hosted by General Alexander Haig, Jr., (Retired) Former Secretary of State under President Ronald Reagan.
Previously, Mr. Zetter ran divisions for Flextronics, the world's largest electronics full-service outsource provider. Prior to this, he was a turnaround senior executive for a global electronics provider funded by HarbourVest Partners, LLC. Mr. Zetter's expertise includes lean manufacturing operations management, outsource contract development and negotiations, OEM-EMS relations, and merger/acquisition analyses.
Mr. Zetter is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo where he also guest-lectures graduate students on how organizations commercialize technological development.
Michael Liu, China Outlook Consulting
Michael J. Liu is co-founder and president of China Outlook Consulting Inc, a niche consulting firm to provide China focused marketing research and business development for international semiconductor companies, distributors and OEM/EMS. The firm also provides China electronics market analysis and top Chinese CEO interview services for world leading electronics publishers such as Reed Business Information and CMP Media. Dr. Liu frequently speaks at major US and China electronics conferences and well quoted by EE Times, Electronics Business, and Asian newspapers. Dr. Liu brings over 20 years experience in electronics industry, supply chain operations, publishing and business development.
Previously, Dr. Liu served as editor-in-chief and industry analyst for EE Times China and EBN China, jointly published by CMP Media LLC and Global Sources. Prior to this, he was factory manager of Philips' first CD and Laservision Disc JV facilities in China where he oversaw supply chain and manufacturing operations.
He holds Bachelor and Master degrees of Science in Electronic Engineering from Xian Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China and Philips International Institute for Graduate Studies, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, respectively. He received his PhD in supply chain management at Honolulu University, Hawaii, USA.
