Simax opens new Cleanroom Facility in Mesa Arizona Support Center

Jul 12, 2012

Simax has announced it has opened a new 2,500 Square foot cleanroom facility in Mesa, Arizona.

On July 1st, Simax's US based Support Center officially opened its new cleanroom to facilitate field engineer training, system refurbishment/qualification and parts testing.

This new capability enhances Simax's ability to provide customers with a broader range of support offerings, and removes the performance uncertainty for customers purchasing mature systems.  The cleanroom will host ASML and Nikon Steppers and Scanners as well as supporting metrology.

Keith Best, Simax VP of Applications states that this new facility will allow the Applications Team to do full Lens Qualifications for up to 200mm I-line and DUV Systems. "We have already completed two demonstrations since the opening. This has significantly shortened the time for process development".

Walt Sullivan, Simax COO adds that "this significant investment is a testimony of Simax's commitment to creating new value added services for our customers. This will shorten the time from purchase to production for qualified tools for customer planned ramp and R&D needs". The first System is scheduled to ship from this new cleanroom on Monday July 16th to a new Simax customer.

Simax will be exhibiting at SEMICON West, July 10th, 11th and 12th at Moscone Center, San Francisco, California, the Secondary Equipment and Services TechZONE, Booth 743.
