HumiSeal announces launch of next generation masking materials with new dots and tapes

Jun 12, 2012

HumiSeal has announced the launch of its entirely new range of masking products designed to address many of the common issues surrounding the use of masking products. This second generation of product follows extensive R&D trials and tests to ensure that it meets the exacting standards required when being used with conformal coatings.

The new range of dots and tapes are available in standard sizes as well as bespoke sizes and formats making them extremely flexible for specific board designs or standard applications. The latest materials are silicone free and anti-static, an ever-present problem when dealing with sensitive components. They are also extremely easy to apply and remove leaving no residue on the substrate.

The specific benefits the new HumiSeal range of masking products include:
• High surface conformability
• Clean, easy removal
• Clean, accurate separation line
• ESD safe
• Silicone free adhesive
• Easy peel-off dots from carrier tape
• Solvent resistant

The standard tapes are available in 3mm, 7mm, 10mm, 13mm, 16mm, 19mm, 22mm and 25mm sizes with other sizes available on request. The dots are available in standard sizes of 5mm, 7mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm and 19mm with other sizes and shapes also available on request.

Commenting on this new generation of masking materials David Greenman, Managing Director for HumiSeal Europe, said:

"I am delighted that these products are now available to the industry. We have been developing this product range for some time listening to customers and trying to accommodate their requirements. These new dots and tapes represent an entirely new generation of masking products, offering very good resistance to solvents whilst remaining silicone free and ESD safe".
