SMTA China Successfully Hosted SMTA China West Conference 2012

SMTA China announces that it successfully organized the SMTA China West Conference 2012. The conference was supported by China Electronic Association Sichuan Province SMT Committee and took place in the Grand Ball Room of the Lido Sheraton Hotel in Chengdu, China on 23 May, 2012. It was sponsored by Aegis, Air Liquide, Air Products, Assembléon, Europlacer, Indium, iNEMI, IST, Kyzen, TRI and Zestron. More than 150 people in the SMT industry participated, of which 90 factory managers/engineers expressed interest in the papers presented as well as the products and services displayed in the tabletop booths.

Organized by the SMTA China — the world's leading user group for surface mount and companion technologies in China — this comprehensive event features technical papers, workshops and training sessions as well as an Emerging Technologies Summit and three focused symposia across seven tracks: Manufacturing and Assembly, Advanced Packaging, Substrates, Soldering, Test/Inspection/Quality, Process Control, and Contract Manufacturing/Business Issues.

The SMTA China West Conference Program covered the hottest topics in the industry. Attendees gained valuable skills and knowledge that can be put to use immediately — skills that can enhance attendees' competitive edges and even advance their careers. Conference topics included 01005 Assembly, 3-D System-in-Package (SiP), Package on Package (PoP), Lead-free Reliability, Component Supply Integrity, RoHS and REACH Standards, Materials and Process Characterization, and Flex Circuit Assembly.

During the conference, attendees discovered the latest technologies and techniques, were able to stay current with industry trends, and learned from the following national and international speakers: Dr. Haley Fu, Jerry Ji, Jeffrey Lee, Jason Chan, David Hu, Victor Wang, Texas Sze, JK Chua, Yunhong Yu and Wei Wang from China, Holland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, UK and USA.

The advanced program for the SMTA China West Conference 2012 and Tabletop Show was designed by the highly regarded SMTA China West Technical Advisory Committee chaired by Michael Wong and supported by Manbo Su. The committee was comprised of electronics manufacturing and packaging experts in China who represented all facets of the industry. They ensured that today's latest trends and developments were fully addressed throughout the conference. The result of their efforts was a highly respected technical program for the industry.
