ECIA Texas Chapter to Meet June 14th

Jun 11, 2012

Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) members and prospective members from the Dallas area are invited to attend a June 14th meeting at the Mercado Juarez Restaurant, 1901 West Northwest Highway, Dallas.  ECIA is a national trade association for manufacturers of electronic components and their authorized distributors and designated representatives.

Robert Logan of Kruvand Associates serves as the chapter's president. "There was great interest in the local chapter after our initial meeting in February and we are excited to move forward," said Logan.  "ECIA continually evaluates new programs and opportunities for its members and these local meetings are a more personal way to involve the industry."

The featured guest speaker will be Kevin Sink, VP Total Quality at TTI, Inc. Sink will address the industry's concern of counterfeiting in light of the passage of the Defense Authorization Act of 2012 & Section 818's requirements for counterfeit liability. The need for anti-counterfeit processes has shifted into high gear. Come hear his view of the electronic community's response and discuss your thoughts on tackling this serious industry threat.

Network with industry peers in your area and learn more about ECIA's many programs, reports and events. Register to attend at http://www.eciaonline.org/meetings/calendar.aspx. The Texas chapter will meet quarterly to network, address local industry issues and review association progress on a variety of initiatives. For more information on the benefits of membership, visit ECIA's website or its YouTube channel.
