ACD Adds a PDR IR-E3 Evolution 2000 BGA Rework System to Its Repertoire

May 23, 2012

ACD has announced the purchase of a PDR IR-E3 Evolution 2000 BGA Rework System for ultimate performance in BGA rework.

The PDR IR-E3 SMT/BGA rework system is designed specifically to cope with the challenges of repairing today's PCB assemblies using PDR's patented focused IR technology. The system provides ACD with 100 percent yield BGA rework without any complications. Additionally, it provides extremely high levels of profiling and process controls for the effective rework of even the most advanced packages, including SMDs, BGAs, CSPs, QFNs and flip chips, as well as 0201 and lead-free applications.

Scott Fillebrown, ACD's President & CEO, commented, "ACD's purchase of PDR's focused IR rework station adds both significant capability to our BGA rework services and additional capacity. This is just another way we are leading the competition."

PDR's focused IR rework systems provide high-quality results on both standard and fine-pitch components, array packages and all lead-free devices. Focused IR is able to pinpoint the smallest component in a high-density environment and provide the operator with a clear view of both the PCB and the component throughout the process, making it the ideal solution for all rework applications.
