Suntron names new Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of Suntron Corporation announced that Paul Singh has resigned his position as President and Chief Executive Officer. Ike Evans, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said, "The Board wants to thank Paul for his leadership of the company for the last five years. He has made many contributions to the company's success and has effectively led the company during the current economic downturn. We wish Paul much success in his future endeavors."

Concurrently, the Board announced that it has elected Ed Wheeler as the new President and Chief Executive Officer effective October 22, 2009. Ed will also join the Board of Directors. Previously, Mr. Wheeler was Chief Operating Officer for Suntron Corporation, having joined the company in July of this year.

"The Board has chosen Ed Wheeler to lead the Company because of his extensive leadership experience in high tech products and industries and his ability to build and lead successful organizations focused on performance for customers," said Evans. "Ed and the Board are aligned in our goals for the company and we look forward to seeing Ed and his leadership team drive growth and capture new customers as the economy rebounds."

Mr. Wheeler stated, "I am excited to lead Suntron and help our customers succeed. We have a great employee team with extensive experience and a passion for high performance. This is a great opportunity and we are well positioned to grow our business and provide solid returns."

Wheeler has over 25 years of experience in general management, operations, and engineering spanning aerospace and automation and control industries. Prior to joining Suntron, Mr. Wheeler was President of Honeywell's Defense and Space business segment. Prior to that role, Wheeler held numerous senior leadership positions across Honeywell's aerospace businesses.
