SigmaQuest's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Certification renewed

Mar 12, 2009

SigmaQuest, the provider of On-Demand, scalable solutions for product quality management, announced that the Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance, Compliance and Registration Division (CRD) has regranted SigmaQuest International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) certification. The recertification means that military and aerospace manufacturers and their suppliers can continue to leverage SigmaQuest's SigmaSure™ software to build higher quality products via early defect detection, early defect elimination and faster problem resolution.

"Demand for SigmaQuest's SigmaSure software within military/aerospace manufacturers and their global partners is growing as the software enables manufacturers and suppliers of mission-critical, electronics-based projects to detect, predict and avoid quality problems in real time," said Nader Fathi, CEO of SigmaQuest. "With this ITAR recertification, our customers can continue to use SigmaSure to offset risks and liability of the most sophisticated product developments."

SigmaQuest's SigmaSure suite of products enables military, aerospace, and defense-related manufacturers to monitor and control their product test, repair and quality in real time. SigmaSure's real-time analysis can be used across the entire supply chain to track subcontractor and supplier quality while ensuring compliance with industry rigorous standards for quality regulations. SigmaSure allows enhanced accountability across the entire organization while reducing risks. It provides better visibility into performance at subcontractor levels and allows tighter controls between all organizations.

The ITAR certification specifically demonstrates that SigmaQuest has met requirements pertaining to organization structure, documentation, corporate policy, training and procedures to permit it to handle, use and transfer information controlled by ITAR and the U.S. Munitions List. Moreover, this demonstrates that SigmaQuest has the knowledge and understanding to fully comply with the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations as well as having corporate procedures and controls in place to ensure compliance.
