Speeds up design for PCB design houses DesignAdvanceTM Systems, Inc., an electronic design automation (EDA) and computer aided design (CAD) design-synthesis software developer, announced today that it is partnering with Valor Computerized Systems, the leader in productivity-enhancing solutions for the electronics industry, to improve Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing for its customers by offering faster (automatic and interactive) PCB design and Right the First Time PCB manufacturing. With Valor's manufacturing data sets and DesignAdvance's CircuitSpace(TM) PCB component placement software, PCB design houses can design faster and correctly target manufacturing equipment and processes. "It is a logical next step for us to use manufacturing data sets to improve the manufacturing results of a CircuitSpace PCB design," said Randy Eager, CEO of DesignAdvance. "Valor's PCB manufacturers' data sets allow our customers to calibrate their placement data with manufacturing equipment and processes." "By facilitating the use of PCB designers' production constraint data within CircuitSpace, our mutual customers are now able to consider DFM information while automating the placement of components on a PCB. This will have many positive effects including the reduction in design time and a reduction in the number of spins or design prototypes, which delay the release of new products," added Julian Coates, Valor's Vice President, Corporate Marketing.
