Raytheon JPS Communications appoints new President

Raytheon JPS Communications has announced Carl Kist as its new President effective August 1, 2005. Prior to joining JPS in Raleigh, Carl was based in Goleta, California as the CFO for Precision Technologies & Components and Raytheon Vision Systems. He has been employed with Raytheon/Texas Instruments for over 20 years. During his career, he has performed in a wide variety of financial assignments across several business areas. "I'm excited about Carl's acceptance of this role and the leadership he brings to our company," said Kenneth Marks, the former President of Raytheon JPS Communications. Carl has also served as a Combat Arms officer in the U.S. Army and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves, currently commanding a joint service detachment. He holds a BS degree in Management from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, and received his MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas. Carl will transition from his current roles as CFO of Raytheon Vision Systems and Precision Technologies & Components over the next month and will relocate to Raleigh later in the year.
