NPL and TWI join forces to run Conductive Adhesives Workshop
Jul 20, 2005
NPL and TWI joined forces to run a Conductive Adhesives Workshop, taking an in-depth look at the test methods available to determine the reliability of conductive adhesives. Both organisations are currently working on a DTI funded project to develop test methods for determining the reliability of CAs. The workshop used data extensively derived from the project, along with further complimentary presentations from academia and industry. Conductive Adhesives are finding wider applications with advances in material technology, driven by process and environmental requirements. Low temperature processing and potential gains in terms of environmental impact and recycling have resulted in widening use. But, reliability of these materials remains a critical area, and one that must be addressed if CAs are going to find wider usage. Delegates reported favourably on the content of this workshop that covered performance and reliability results, applications, material and equipment suppliers presentations.
