CIMTEK extends its test solutions to China

Jun 21, 2005

CIMTEK has announced the opening of a new sales and support office in China which will serve as a regional centre for their clients.

This move reinforces CIMTEK's commitment to China as part of their global offering. The new office further supports the overall company strategy to align the existing offices with a strong link for Global minded Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) looking to service and support manufacturing and electronic test facilities in China.

The office will also support CIMTEK's existing local distributor, Toptest, who has provided superior service and support for the past 15 years.

Bernard Chan, an engineer who worked most recently for Agilent Technologies, has been hired by CIMTEK as Regional Sales Manager to run the new office. Bernard will focus on sales efforts from CIMTEK's Hong Kong office to OEMs and CMs located in the Pearl River Delta area. The new office will also offer a local base for service and support for all of CIMTEK's solutions including customized platforms and standard platforms such as the CIMTEK Compact Pro(TM).

"Building on existing local support and relationships is key. CIMTEK will continue to think globally, but act locally to continue its growth", said Ted Pattenden, President and CEO of CIMTEK. "We recognize the need to establish a strong base to ensure our customers are completely satisfied - regardless of time-zone, geography or location."

"CIMTEK has a strong reputation for providing solutions that lower the total cost of ownership - a reputation that has helped CIMTEK establish a loyal customer base in China," says Chan.  "I am pleased to contribute to building new relationships based on the company's existing partnerships and to offer CIMTEK's proven test platforms and effective test solutions to other brand name manufacturers."
