PROMATION enhances in-line label placement station

Jun 28, 2005

PROMATION Inc., a manufacturer of PCB handling solutions for electronics manufacturing, recently expanded their in-line label placement stations by adding a "Print on Demand" feature prior to the pick-and-place function, the ELC-200.

PROMATION's ELC-100 is a standard in-line, label "pick-and-place" station that uses the customer's pre-printed label rolls. The latest version, the ELC-200, offers a "print on demand" feature that allows customers to print their labels (based upon select criteria) then have them placed onto the PCB.

Both stations can accurately place labels ranging from 7 mm L x 7 mm W up to 40 mm L x 40 mm W onto PCBs, through the use of an X/Y gantry and easy-to-use touch panel interface. Finally, the station has a clamshell design for full access to the labeling system.

PROMATION offers this station in two different PCB handling ranges - YL and LLX size internal conveyors.
