Innolux to supply mobile phone panels to Foxconn

Innolux Display will supply monochrome STN LCDs to Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry), disclosed its president Hsing C Tuan in a March 12 interview with the Chinese-language Economic Daily News.Shipments to Foxconn’s mobile phone assembly lines in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province may begin as early as June. Innolux plans to purchase semi-finished monochrome STN LCDs from other Taiwanese producers and assemble them into modules at its Shenzhen factory.The company also plans to move into the production of color STN (CSTN) LCDs and TFT LCDs for mobile phones.Source: DigiTimes
