CTS EMS earns ISO13485 certification for Thailand operation

May 05, 2005

CTS Corporation has announced that the Thailand facility of its Electronics Manufacturing Solutions strategic business unit has successfully achieved ISO13485: 2003 certification.

ISO13485: 2003 is the international quality management standard for designers and manufacturers of medical devices. CTS has actively pursued this certification as part of an ongoing commitment to service the needs of medical customers – Thailand is the fourth facility to receive the accreditation, the others being Moorpark and Santa Clara, CA and Marlborough, MA. All four sites are also fully FDA registered.

Commenting on the certification, Don Schroeder, president of EMS, said, "CTS is committed to supplying specialist products and services to the medical market, from implantable devices to fully-integrated box-build systems. Attaining ISO13485: 2003 in Thailand further enables us to support customers at a global
level."
