Isola presents new high frequency laminate
Mar 11, 2003
Low-Loss epoxy grade with equable dielectric behaviour over frequencyIsola has announced that it is expanding its range of products with the introduction of IS620, a new base-material used in high frequency applications. This new epoxy grade is said to be uniquely formulated for high-speed applications ranging from 2 to 10 GHz and distinguish itself by having a stable dielectric behaviour over frequency. With a glass transition temperature of 205 °C (DSC) IS620 claims to set new standards in the sector of glass-/epoxy laminates. The pressing of the material into multilayer printed circuits boards with similar FR-4 parameters simplifies the processing characteristics of this high performance material. The same goes for drilling and through-hole-plating, which happens likewise in similar FR-4 processing.IS620 corresponds IPC-4101A/30 and is listed UL, File-No. E41625.Source: PCBnewsline
