Viscom enjoying success in China

Today at Nepcon Shanghai I talked to Volker Pape, President of Viscom, who told me of the success their products were having in Asia. 

At the show Viscom are promoting their 3055 and 3088 products, one is on their booth on the second floor of the west hall and the other is on the booth of their representative Dou Yee on the ground floor.  As a company Viscom is a pioneer in the field of industrial image processing.  They have a range of products in optical and X-ray inspection.

Among their clients Viscom is happy to count some of the world's largest electronic OEM, EMS companies.  In 2003 Viscom ws the number one AOI supplier in Europe and number three worldwide (independent analysts figures, not there's).

Visocm sell in China through a network of representatives.  A network that has enjoyed some good success, in fact, in 2004 Asia accounted for 26% of Viscom's sales.  This year that sales volume is expected to double.

To support this growth, Viscom has offices throughout Asia, with its Asian headquarters in Singapore.  "Growth in Asia is a result of a number of years of hard work, which are now bearing fruit" Volker told me. 

Continued commitment to Asia is evident from Viscom's coming calendar of events which includes Nepcon Shenzhen, Nepcon Korea and the JPCA Show in Tokyo.
