Agilent to acquire Vxl products from PASS Technologies
Mar 10, 2005
Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced it will acquire PASS Technologies' Vxl test data-exchange software products for integration into Agilent's VEE Pro graphical programming language. PASS Technologies Inc. specializes in test-and-measurement software development. By tightly integrating the capabilities in the Vxl products, Agilent's VEE Pro will allow users to seamlessly exchange data with Microsoft Excel as well as control Excel to quickly create professional test reports. Agilent VEE Pro, named one of EDN Magazine's "Hot 100 Products of 2004," is a highly intuitive, graphical programming environment. With its open architecture that supports industry-standard instrument communications, PC-standard software components, and embedded MATLAB functionality, VEE Pro enables developers to create tests quickly, so they can focus on engineering tasks, rather than programming. Agilent will move the Vxl capabilities directly into future versions of VEE Pro.
