New test fixtures from Janus

Mar 04, 2003

Janus has announced that it is now building precision ValueGrid test fixtures for the Everett Charles Technologies 909x series of testers. ValueGrid fixtures by Janus are said to be the ultimate in performance and reliability for the ECT tester. Adjustable Tooling is incorporated for precise registration of the PCB to the fixture. This feature allows correction for mis-registration of the PCB to the fixture. Compensation for Top-to-Bottom fixture compression ratio and pin side load affects is incorporated into Janus fixture designs to optimize their performance. This claims to result in a smoother-operating fixture. The fixture also incorporates QwikStak standoffs and Product Area Supports for fast assembly. All fixture plates are kept parallel and very rigid. This is said to result in an extremely low occurrence of false errors. Source: PCBnewsline
