Counterfeit machines being sold in Asia as Plasma Etch
Feb 28, 2005
Plasma Etch, Inc. in Carson City, Nev., has become aware that counterfeit plasma machines are being marketed and sold under the name "Plasma Etch Asia Pacific" throughout China, Taiwan, Malaysia and various locations throughout the Pacific Rim. "These machines are damaging the reputation of Plasma Etch, Inc. USA and as far as our investigations can tell, fraudulent activity has been going on for about one full year," states Scott Bishop, General Manager, Plasma Etch, Inc. USA. "We want our current and potential clients to be assured that these machines are in no way authorized for manufacture nor are they associated with Plasma Etch, Inc. USA or the quality products that we manufacture and support. "The company operating as Plasma Etch Asia Pacific has tried unsuccessfully to replicate our equipment and has experienced many failures in the field." If anyone has any additional information about these counterfeit machines, please contact Scott Bishop, General Manager, Plasma Etch, Inc. USA at 775-883-1336. Working together, as the manufacturing community, we can put an end to this type of fraudulent activity that is hurting the reputation of many world class manufacturers.
