Chris Towns, IT Director of Corporate Applications, Pemstar, Inc. 
Chris Towns has more than 17 years of manufacturing experience at electronics manufacturers such as Pemstar, Quadrus, Avex and what is now known as Sanmina-SCI. As IT Director of Corporate Applications at Pemstar, Chris orchestrates the deployment and optimization of leading enterprise systems across multiple geographic facilities. Chris helped create innovative "virtually distributed applications" for manufacturing that include centralized servers, wireless thin-clients and a Citrix metaframe application delivery method. In his years in manufacturing operations, he has implemented four MES systems, Agile's PDM system and ERP systems. Chris has automated radio stations, run networks and lead a technical group for GE Medical Systems. He is an accomplished speaker, most recently seen at Agility 2003, and is quoted in leading trade publications such as MSI and Managing Automation. Chris spent four years in the U.S. Air Force.
