Jan 21, 2005
Universal Instruments has announced that it will attend Elektronik EP 2005 with Wikman & Malmkjell at the International Fairs & Congress Center in Stockholm, Sweden, from February 1 - 3 on Stand A09-48. Being demonstrated on the stand will be the flexibility, scalability, and cost of ownership advantages of the platform concept driving the AdVantisTM and GSM Genesis® Platform placement machines. Optima Plus complete line planning and process support services can also be discussed, showing how customers can minimize the risks involved in near and long term capability planning. The AdVantis and GSM Genesis platforms can both benefit from Lightning(TM) and FlexJet head options. Class-leading performance from Lightning-equipped platforms, with 30-spindles per head and integrated productivity features, delivers placement rates up to 54,000 cph spec speed for Genesis, and 30,000 cph for AdVantis. Visitors to the stand can also sample new Dimensions manufacturing management software capabilities, including New Product Introduction (NPI), which is said to streamline factory floor tasks for prototyping, first article build and high mix specialists. www.uic.com
