Third Annual Harsh Environment Electronics Workshop planned

Jan 25, 2005

The SMTA and Auburn University CAVE are organizing the Third Annual Harsh Environment Electronics Workshop to be held June 28-29 at the Radisson Hotel in Indianapolis, IN.

Industry professionals are invited to submit an abstract to participate in this exciting program.

Subject areas include, but are not limited to:
- Issues and Opportunities - Automotive
- Activities in Semiconductor Technology
- Issues with Harsh Vehicle Systems
- Substrate Advancements
- Next Generation Automotive Systems
- Advancements in Materials
- Issues in Military, Space, and Avionics

To allow more time for interaction, presentation formats, rather than technical papers, are being sought for the workshop program.  The session for each topical area will begin with an overview followed by detailed presentations, which describe state-of-the-art technology and future trends.

Abstracts of 200-300 words will be accepted through March 1 and can be submitted directly to SMTA director of education Kristin Nafstad by email: kristin@smta.org.

The conference chairman is Dr. John Evans, Auburn University.  Visit the Call for Participation page of the Education & Events section on smta.org for more information.
