New Hydra tool for 0201 components means even faster throughput

Mydata automation AB has announced the release of the new H06 tool for its HYDRA Speedmount mounting head. The new tool means that 0201 chip components can now be handled by MYDATA's multi-nozzle HYDRA head , significantly increasing throughput for assemblies with many 0201 chips. "The new tool is of course also compatible with our Automatic Tool Exchanger (ATE), and can be used for 0402 chips as well, which helps to minimize tool changes," explains Fredrik Moberg, Product Manager for feeders and mountheads at MYDATA automation AB. "All these factors combined mean significantly increased throughput and production speed." Like all HYDRA tools, the H06 is made from a highly wear-resistant material and is color-coded green for ease of handling and fast changeovers. It has a high-precision nozzle tip optimized for 0201 chips and because it's compatible with the ATE, can be installed in any position in a HYDRA tool bank. It can be used in any combination with standard H01-H04 tools. And in addition, the high precision H06 tool costs no more than the standard tools. www.mydata.com
