MIMOT will display flagship Advantage 3 at APEX 2005

With up to 324 single feeders and the ability to change feeders on the fly without interrupting production, MIMOT's flagship Advantage 3 will vie for the title of "The World's Most Flexible Pick and Place Machine" when it is shown for the first time in the U.S. at APEX 2005. MIMOT's Advantage 3 boasts the largest feeder capacity on the market - up to 324 feeders on board at any one time - maximizing system flexibility and reducing or eliminating production-crippling changeover times.

According to Joerg Widmer, MIMOT's North American Sales Manager, "The Advantage 3's tremendous feeder capacity, in conjunction with its 'Triple Intelligent' Triligent smart feeder system, enables multiple jobs to be set up on the placement machine without pause or interruption. The operator can change feeders on the fly with no downtime for job changes; that's ultimate flexibility."

Other Advantage 3 features include parallel pickup capability of up to 5 components at the same time; fast-flash and parallel-processing for fastest component centering; Vision On-The-Fly for chip- and fine pitch components, and more.

"When the first job is finished, the feeders for the second job are already waiting and production never stops," Widmer adds.
