Tapco adds quality and IT experts to management team

Tapco Associates Inc., a leading distributor of circuit board supplies, has hired two new managers in November to lead key IT and quality initiatives. Roy Devadas has joined Tapco as Information Technology Manager. Based out of the company's Chicago office, he will help Tapco launch business-to-business e-commerce solutions, including a web portal for vendors and customers. Devadas brings eight years of IT management experience from Medela Inc., a medical device manufacturer, plus five years as Application Development Manager for Abacus Data Systems where he developed ERP software products. Rob Shah has signed on as Tapco's Quality Manager and will also be based out of Tapco's Chicago office. Shah will maintain Tapco's ISO 9001:2000 registration and lead quality and safety initiatives at all Tapco sites. "When it comes to technology and quality assurance, Roy Devadas and Rob Shah will help us stay ahead of the curve as we grow," says Tapco Vice President Kurt Palmer. "Their expertise will be incredibly valuable as we strive to continually improve the way we serve our customers.
