DDR2 memory connector from FCI
Dec 24, 2004
FCI has developed vertical memory sockets that accept standard DDR2 memory module assemblies to allow convenient memory expansion in desktop PC's and servers. The 240-position DDR2 (Double Data Rate) vertical connectors are offered with either through-mount leads for solder termination or "eye-of-needle" compliant leads for press-fit termination. All connectors provide mechanical voltage keying and end latches for module retention and ejection. "The latch towers at the ends if the connector provide angled lead-in ramps and slots that aid module alignment, and FCI's low insertion force socket design provides easy installation of memory modules in desktop computers, servers and workstations," says David Sideck, FCI Regional Market Manager. "Insertion force is typically under 22 pounds for our socket design." Samples are available for delivery, with production lead times from stock to 6 weeks.
