LaBarge finalises $4.1 million contract

LaBarge, Inc. has finalized an agreement valued at $4.1 million with Northrop Grumman Corporation's Electronic Systems sector to supply electronic subsystems for its MESA (Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array) radar system. Under the contract, LaBarge has expanded its role to manufacture and integrate an additional collection of complex electronic components for transmit/receive modules. The modules transmit and receive radio waves, which become translated into position and velocity information for targets of interest in the air or on the ground. LaBarge began performing the work at its Huntsville, Ark., location in September and expects production to continue through February 2005.
