USR only Israeli EMS participant in Electronica

USR Electronic Systems is the only Israeli EMS company to participate in Electronica 2004 which takes place for the 21st time in Munich, Germany.

The exhibition is the world's largest electronic components and assemblies trade show. The exhibition takes place every two years and in 2002 the show had over 77,000 visitors from 63 countries and 3,000 exhibitors from 49 different countries.

Deciding to participate in the show is part of the strategic development process of USR into an international company, a process led by the USR group corporate.

During the exhibition, USR will exhibit products made for strategic customers from the medical and communication electronics fields. These fields are expected to yield an increase of tens of millions of dollars in USR's revenues in 2005.

USR in Israel has been operating for over 20 years and employs over 600 employees in its Karmiel and Jerusalem factories and in the Tel Aviv purchasing and engineering centers. During September 2004 USR announced the acquisition of Sankyo Technology, including development engineering and manufacturing activities in China and Hong Kong.

Of the participation in the Electronica 2004 exhibition, Mr. Shuky Sagis USR Israel General Manager remarked that "the participation in the global EMS market has opened opportunities of providing our customers with flexible manufacturing solutions.
