Shanghai Fudan launches 900MHz RFID solution

Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics recently began to offer solutions for 900MHz radio frequency identification (RFID) chips and readers. Shanghai Fudan claims its new RFID chips has a range of three meters and its readers are compatible with RFID chips made by other leading companies. Shanghai Fudan claims it is the first China-based firm that has RFID solutions for up to 900MHz frequency. The company claims China will become a 50 billion-yuan (US$6.4 billion) RFID market over the next five years. Source: Digitimes
