AccuPlace hires Hamid Shahrastani as General Manager

Mr. Shahrastani will join AccuPlace in late September to take over engineering and operations. He brings with him more than two decades of experience in manufacturing and R&D, a MS in Engineering Management/Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Florida and a BSEE from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In his previous position as Senior Director of Engineering at Boston Scientific Corporation he had responsibility for all engineering activities including manufacturing process development, new product introduction, technology development, facilities engineering and equipment engineering. His strengths include in-depth expertise in lean manufacturing, creating metrics-driven organizations, and systematic problem solving. AccuPlace is experiencing very strong growth and created this new position to further improve operations efficiency and to concentrate more resources on new product development.
