M-Flex choose HMS-Höllmüller

HMS-Höllmüller has been chosen as a major supplier for M-Flex to provide mechanical engineering solutions for their flexible circuit production.

M-Flex has production facilities in both China and California. The sale of 5 further lines means a total of 11 systems for M-Flex.

Michael Hager, HMS representative in China, said "The lines to be delivered will allow the thinnest flexible material in the 25µm range with a 5µm copper cladding to be transported trouble-free. In the same way one-sided Kapton film can be transported without any guides or leaders. Our equipment is capable of etching and stripping circuits with line and spacing in the 1.5 mil (35µm) range. As a result HMS is handling all M-Flex's wet-processes with a horizontal PTH line, a chemical pre-clean, developer, etching, and stripping. Further joint projects are in the planning later on this year."
